Dried Cannabis Flower at Blaze District
Dried cannabis flower is the core of what we carry at Blaze District. Our menu rotates fresh stock across five quality tiers and three plant types, so you can shop by what you already know, by what fits the time of day, or just by what your budget looks like that week.
Stock turns fast across our Ontario locations. What you walk out with is typically within a few weeks of curing, which is what keeps the smell sharp and the smoke smooth.
Quality Tiers, Plain and Simple
Tiers are an industry shorthand for trichome coverage, density, trim quality, and aroma. Each step up means tighter buds, stronger smells out of the bag, and more reliable effects gram-for-gram.
- AAA: solid everyday flower at an honest price.
- AAA+: a step up with tighter buds and stronger trichome coverage.
- AAAA+: premium dense buds with rich terpene profiles.
- AAAAA: top of the menu, hand-trimmed and high-trichome.
- Exotics: rare, rotating drops with unusual flavour profiles.
Sativa, Indica, or Hybrid?
Sativa tends to be uplifting and is usually picked for daytime. Indica leans relaxing and body-heavy, so it lands better in the evening or before sleep. Hybrid sits between the two, with the balance shifting strain to strain.
If you're new, a balanced hybrid in the AAA or AAA+ range is the easiest entry point. Ask staff in store and they'll narrow it down based on what you're after.
Buying by Weight
Most of our dried flower comes in 1g, 3.5g (an eighth), 7g (a quarter), 14g (half ounce), and 28g (ounce) sizes. Per-gram price drops as you go up, and the ounce is usually the cheapest gram-for-gram. That's why regulars stock up that way.
Smaller sizes make sense if you're trying a new strain for the first time, or rotating between several through the week. Bigger sizes only stay fresh if you store them properly.
Storage and Freshness
Flower keeps best in a sealed glass jar, away from heat and direct light. A cool drawer or cupboard is fine. Avoid fridges (the temperature swings cause condensation), and avoid plastic baggies long-term (they hold moisture and suck out terpenes).
Common Questions
How long does dried flower stay good?
Properly stored, six months to a year before terpenes start fading. Smoke is still fine past that, just less aromatic.
Do you grind your own or buy ground?
Grind only what you'll use that session. Pre-ground dries out and loses smell faster than whole bud.
What's the easiest first buy?
An eighth (3.5g) of an AAA hybrid. Enough to last a few sessions without committing to a full quarter of something you don't know yet.
